Join DDSN and USC’s Carolina Autism and Neurodevelopment (CAN) Research Center for an exciting, in-person event at the USC Alumni Center in Columbia, SC!
AutismConnect 2024 is a gathering dedicated to bringing together individuals, families, and professionals in the autism community. Discover the latest research, innovative therapies, and support networks that can make a difference in the lives of those with autism. Connect with like-minded individuals, share experiences, and learn from experts in the field. Event Details:
- Date/Time: April 23, from 9 am to 3 pm (Exhibits will be open from beginning to end!)
- Location: USC Alumni Center, 900 Senate Street Columbia, SC 29201
- No Cost: Free for the General Public (lunch will be provided to all who register on our Eventbrite page).
- Features: A sensory room for those who may get overstimulated, accessible bathrooms, elevator access, etc.
- Available CEUS: AHEC, Social Work, Counseling (SC Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Foster Parent Training credits, and Psycho-Educational Specialist), Nursing, and BabyNet Personnel SC Part C Credential.

The South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs DDSN works closely with individuals with autism in various ways, including supporting individuals with autism who live at our regional centers; employing individuals with disabilities including those with autism; and providing helpful resources to individuals and their families and alerting them of various opportunities.
The Carolina Autism and Neurodevelopment (CAN) Research Center aims to build a multi-disciplinary, collaborative center for basic, clinical, and intervention research and education in autism and neurodevelopmental disorders at the University of South Carolina.
