The South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs is proud to celebrate Autism Awareness Month in April 2021. Autism spectrum disorder is a complex condition that effects each person differently. Each person living with Autism has their own unique strengths and challenges. That’s why it’s so important for our agency to provide information and resources for individuals, families and communities to be more educated and aware to promote acceptance and inclusivity.
The fourteenth annual World Autism Awareness Day is April 2, 2021. Wear something blue on April 2 in support of understanding and acceptance for people with autism.
