Adults (Age 18 and over)

  • If you suspect Abuse, Neglect or Exploitation of a person living in a DDSN Contracted Residential Setting, please contact the State Law Enforcement Division, Vulnerable Adult Investigations Unit at 1-866-200-6066 or SLED Vulnerable Adult Investigations Unit.
  • For adults living in the community, please contact the Department of Social Service Adult Protective Services Division within your county office or DSS Adult Protective Services.

Children (Age 17 and younger)

  • For children living in the community, please contact the Department of Social Services Child Protective Services Unit within your county office or DSS Child Protective Services.
  • For Children living in a DDSN contracted residential setting, please contact the Department of Social Services Out of Home Abuse and Neglect (OHAN) Unit at 1-800-645-9789.

Case Managers have abuse reporting information to share with the people they support and their families.

DDSN employees and contracted provider staff must receive training annually on the prevention and reporting procedures for Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation. A statewide, mandatory training curriculum has been established for providers. Curriculum information can be located under the Service Provider tab/ANE Training.
